Measures from 1988 onwards can be downloaded from the OPSI website in the form in which they were originally enacted. Details of Measures before that date may be found in Vol. 14 of Halsbury's Statutes, which is widely available in public libraries. The up-to-date revised form of all UK primary legislation (i.e. incorporating amendments made since enactment), including Church of England Measures, can be accessed via the UK Legislation website.

Measures are brought into force by commencement instruments signed by the two Archbishops, and in the case of complex legislation different provisions of the same Measure may be brought into force on different dates, sometimes by different commencement instruments. Commencement instruments from 1991 onwards may also be downloaded from the Statute Law Database (see link at right).
