The Closed Churches Division assists the Commissioners'
Church Buildings (Uses and Disposals) Committee in settling the
future of churches closed for regular public worship. Normally a
suitable alternative will be sought but if not found the remaining
outcomes are either preservation or demolition.
The Committee also adjudicates on
representations made regarding particular proposals. You can learn
