Birch St Peter
Grade II church built 1850 to designs of the renowned architect
Teulon, situated in the Birch Conservation Area. Constructed of
solid flint and brick masonry with limestone dressings, and clay
tiled timber roof. Comprises nave with aisle, chancel, porch and
tower with 110 feet high spire. Floor area c. 418 m2.
Repair estimated at £1.24 million. Proposals involving partial
demolition will be considered, including retention of the
tower/spire and west facade fronting a development.
