  • The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) is a limited company owned by the Government that will oversee the planning and development of the 2012 Olympics, working closely with Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA), responsible for the planning and construction of new venues and infrastructure.

  • Canon Duncan Green is the national Church of England Olympics Co-ordinator and is the LOCOG Head of Multi Faith Chaplaincy Services. He can be contacted on 030 2012 2267 or email duncan.green@london2012.com.

  • In the accompanying article, the Bishop of Barking encourages dioceses and parishes around the country to see through the "Olympic lens", through which "we can focus and enhance all of our day-to-day work for God whether that is: mission, evangelism, community engagement, communications, interfaith relations, issues of justice, prophetic reflection and action, regeneration, sports chaplaincy, the arts, youth work, schools, colleges and education, the environment, disability and equality, race relations and so on."
