| Code of Recommended Practice to the Repair of Benefice Buildings Measure (DOC-459.5KB)Church Commissioners The RBBM Code gives detailed guidance on parsonage issues including the rights and responsibilities of incumbents (as freehold owners of parsonages but with the rights in effect of tenants) and the equivalent roles of Diocesan Parsonages Boards (with the legal and financial responsibility for maintaining parsonages). It gives guidance on the consultation process, and our role in considering representations. It includes forms for use by diocesan authorities.

| NPM 1943 - Acquisitions of Churches, Church Sites, Churchyards and Burial Grounds (DOCM-23.87KB)Church Commissioners Those parts of the New Parishes Measure dealing with the creation of new ecclesiastical districts have been repealed and superseded by provisions in the Pastoral Measure 1983 but the Measure is still commonly used in the acquisition of church property and the disposal of unconsecrated church property when it is no longer needed for its original purpose. Consecrated land has normally to be dealt with under section 30 of the Pastoral Measure.
