Fostering Vocations and Discipleship

What do you want to do with the rest of your life?

Helping others envisage and build their future and explore God's call is part of the chaplain's job. Here are resources we hope will help. There are more available at the Call Waiting web page.
For ease, we use the terms 'vocation and lay discipleship'. Much of what is included here can fairly easily be adapted for use with those who would not easily use such religious language, or speak of God at all.

Other resources can be found on the Vocations Sunday website

  • A large range of resources for worship, preaching, small group work, and individual exploration can be downloaded from the C of E Vocations Sunday website - www.vocationsunday.org
  • The resources offer materials to help explore and encourage God's calling to discipleship and service for the whole people of God.
  • The resources can be used at any time, not only on Vocations Sunday itself, which is always the 4th Sunday of Easter ( 15 May in 2011)

The following postcards will, we hope, inspire chaplains in their work of helping people discern their vocation- whatever it is. Click on the images to see the back of the postcard. If you wish we are happy to send you the orignal file to allow you to print and distribute them.
