First Anniversary of the London Bombings

First Anniversary of the London BombingsOn the first anniversary of the bombings of 7th July 2005, prayers will be said at the General Synod and in churches across England. The anniversary will be referred to in the opening prayers of the General Synod at York University, led by the Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu, and will also be reflected in the intercessions at evening prayer that night. Church House staff will join in the two-minute silence at midday.

Senior Selection Secretary appointedThe Revd Stephen Ferns has succeeded Mrs Margaret Sentamu as Senior Selection Secretary in the Ministry Division of the Archbishops’ Council of the Church of England. Stephen was previously a Selection Secretary and the Vocations Officer within the Division.
