Church House Publishing has today announced that, from 1st May 2008, distribution of its range of books and other products will transfer to Norwich Books and Music (the new name for the distribution service provided by SCM-Canterbury Press Ltd).
The move will also see order processing and customer service for Church House Publishing transferring to Norwich Books and Music. Currently, customer service and order processing is split between Marston Book Services, Church House Bookshop and Methodist Publishing House.
Thomas Allain-Chapman, Head of Publishing for the Archbishops' Council, welcomes the move: “It makes perfect sense both for our customers and our business to consolidate warehousing and fulfilment with a single provider who has a strong track record and understanding of our market.”
Andrew Moore, Chief Executive of the SCM-Canterbury Press parent company Hymns Ancient and Modern Group, comments: “Adding Church House Publishing alongside Royal School of Church Music, Epworth and SCM-Canterbury’s own imprints will make Norwich Books and Music an essential destination for retailers, churches and individuals looking for quality Christian resources. We look forward to offering existing and new customers the same high level of service across a much-increased range of resources.”
Church House Publishing, official publisher of the Church of England, offers a varied and exciting range of titles, including mission and evangelism, youth and children’s work, essential church and pastoral resources, and the Common Worship liturgy.
SCM-Canterbury Press Ltd is a subsidiary of Hymns Ancient & Modern, a Christian charity that is also responsible for the Church Times and Church House Bookshop in London.
