The Rt Revd David Stancliffe (the Bishop of Salisbury) moved
Amendment 515, but without forty people standing to support the
debate, the amendment fell.

THE
ARCHBISHOPS' COUNCIL'S DRAFT BUDGET AND PROPOSALS FOR APPORTIONMENT
FOR 2011 (GS 1781)
The Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Archbishops'
Council (Mr Andrew Britton) moved the report.
Following debate, the report was carried and the Synod then went
on to carry other motions approving individual areas of activity
within the budget.
A motion was moved by the Chairman of the Finance Committee of
the Archbishops' Council (Mr Andrew Britton), and after debate the
motion was carried by the Synod in the following unamended
form:
'That this Synod approve the Archbishops' Council's proposals
(set out in the Table of Apportionment contained in GS 1781) for the apportionment amongst the
dioceses of the net sum to be provided by them to enable the
Council to meet the expected expenditure shown in its budget for
the year 2011.'
FAITH
AND ORDER COMMISSION (GS 1782), INCORPORATING THE 45TH REPORT
OF THE STANDING ORDERS COMMITTEE
A motion was moved by the Archbishop of Canterbury, and after
debate the motion was carried by the Synod in the following
unamended form:
'That this Synod approve the establishment of the Faith and
Order Commission, as proposed in GS 1782.'
