Item 518

A member of the Steering Committee moved that clause 2 should stand part of the Measure. Following debate, Synod approved that clause 2 should so stand.

 

Amendment 519

Professor Anthony Berry (Chester) moved Amendment 519, but without forty people standing to support the debate, the amendment fell.

 

Amendment 520

Mr Gerald O'Brien (Rochester) moved Amendment 520, which following debate was not carried by the Synod.

 

Amendment 521

The Revd Hugh Lee (Oxford) moved Amendment 521, but without forty people standing to support the debate, the amendment fell.

 

Amendment 522

The Revd Peter Hobson (Leicester) moved Amendment 522, which following debate was not carried by the Synod.

 

Amendment 523

Mr Clive Scowen (London) moved Amendment 523, which following debate was carried by the Synod.

 

Amendment 525

The Revd Paul Benfield (Blackburn) moved Amendment 525. Following debate and a division by houses, the Synod voted as follows:

The amendment was therefore not carried.

Dr Brian Walker (Winchester) moved Amendment 527, which following debate was carried by the Synod.
