Last month, the Estates Evangelism Task Group (EETG) and National Estate Churches Network (NECN), hosted their annual EETG and Partners conference at High Leigh.
The conference, hosted by Bishop Lynne Cullens, chair of the EETG and NECN, included an opening address from the former Bishop of Edmonton, Rob Wickham, now CEO of the Church Urban Fund and David Bright, Church of England’s Head of Funding & Learning, sharing on the importance of Estates & Low Income communities and how this fits within the Church of England’s Vision & Strategy.
The conference, also hosted a Q&A panel discussion including Revd Canon Nick McKee (Director of Ministry Development, Church of England), Rachel Gardner (Director of Partnerships, Youthscape & Estates Church Planter at St Lukes, Blackburn), Andrew Kwapong (Curate & Estates Church Planter), Revd Dean Pusey (NECN Board member), Revd Helen Shannon (Diocese of London Estates Enabler & CCX), Rob Wickham and Revd Canon Dr Mark Powley (Archbishop’s Mission Enabler for the North).
The conference offered numerous opportunities for networking including a special session offering delegates the opportunity to share about their individual organisations in a 90 second pitch.
