Church
Army
Operating as a society of Evangelists within the Anglican
Communion, our mission is about sharing faith through words and
action in order to make Jesus famous.
Church Army works
where the need is greatest - sharing the love of Christ to bring
transformation to individuals and communities across the UK and
Ireland. At the forefront of the new fresh expressions
agenda, Church Army mobilises around 500 evangelists and staff to
reach out to people who have little or no connection with the
church. Church Army Evangelists are admitted to the office of
Evangelists within the Anglican Communion on behalf of the
Archbishop of Canterbury and work under licence from the local
Bishop. The society also helps discern the evolving mission
of the church through the work of it's internationally respected
research arm - The Sheffield Centre.

Church Pastoral Aid Society (CPAS)
Since 1836, the mission of CPAS has been to enable people
to hear and discover the good news of Jesus Christ. Research
shows effective leadership is a primary factor in healthy,
mission-focused churches. Over the next decade CPAS will be
focusing on the development of leaders within churches, in order to
help realize our vision of a Christ-centred, Bible-based,
mission-focused church that reaches out effectively to local
communities.
