16 Days of Activism: Day 9

An estimated 1.6 million women experience domestic abuse every year although that’s only the tip of the iceberg, as many women don’t report abuse due to fear of being judged or not believed.

Within the church context, it has been indicated that only 2 in 7 worshippers feel that their church is adequately equipped to respond to concerns of domestic abuse.

In today’s video, Phillis and Lee talk about their experiences of domestic abuse and the work they are undertaking within their local parish and community.
