2014 Statistics for Mission

Statistics for Mission 2014 (published January 2016) provides the latest figures on Church of England attendance and occasional offices. Overall in October 2014, an average of 980,000 people each week participated in a Church of England service; additionally, 145,000 people each week attended services for schools in a Church of England church.

Statistics for Mission 2013 provides figures on Church of England attendance and occasional offices, including new statistics on our worshipping community and numbers of people joining and leaving. Overall in 2013, an average of one million people attended Church of England services each week.

Statistics for Mission 2012 provides figures on Church of England attendance and occasional offices. Overall in 2012, on average 1.05m people attended Church of England services each week; over the year the Church of England conducted over 356,000 baptisms, weddings and funerals - almost 7,000 each week - marking the rites of passage in people's lives in communities across the country.

Attendance and occasional offices 2011 provides statistics for weekly, Sunday, Christmas and Easter attendance, alongside figures on the Electoral Roll and Occasional offices. Please note that our figures have been revised since this publication was released.
