Mandated to drive ‘significant cultural and structural change on issues of racial justice within the Church of England’, the Archbishops’ Commission for Racial Justice is charged with monitoring, holding to account and supporting the implementation of the forty-seven recommendations of the Racial Justice Taskforce which were laid out in the Taskforce’s comprehensive 2020 report From Lament to Action.

The Archbishops’ Commission for Racial Justice reports to the Archbishops every six months during the course of the Commission (2021-2024), with recommendations to help the Archbishops fulfil their commitments to identify, respond to, and root out systemic racism in the Church.

The reports are available to download below.

The Commission has also published the results of a six-month quantitative and qualitative study, examining and exploring the lived experiences of UKME/GMH people in the Church of England.
