The CTE Forum provides a unique opportunity for member churches to learn, worship and build relationships together. It is a significant event, taking place once every three years.
Forum is a delegate conference, bringing together more than three hundred representatives of Churches Together in England’s (CTE) national Member Churches, Intermediate Bodies and Charities and Networks in Association.
Forum 2025 took place from teatime on Monday 17 March to lunchtime on Wednesday 19 March 2025 at The Hayes Conference Centre, Swanwick, Derbyshire.
Delegates heard keynote addresses from senior Christian leaders, including a President of the World Council of Churches, Rev Dr Susan Durber and the CTE Presidents. They had the opportunity to attend seminars and workshops, connecting with many of the Charities and Networks in Association in the Forum Marketplace. There was also plenty of time to make some new ecumenical friends and enjoy worshipping together.
The Church of England sent a delegation of twenty people including seven members of General Synod and six young adults (under 25). The involvement of young adults was a conscious decision relating the CTE commitment to develop “young ecumenists” and the Anglican priority to grow “younger and more diverse”.
Members of our delegation were involved in various ways, from music to a keynote speech. The young adults made a particularly positive contribution and were received well by our ecumenical partners.
More information is available on the CTE website.
Recordings of the keynote speakers, artists in residence, and some of the workshops, can be watched on CTE’s YouTube Channel.
