RECOGNISE

RECOGNISE (7-13 July) is a national week of recognition for everyone involved in ministry with children, young people, and their families (CYPF).

Sunday 13 July is a day for churches nationwide to celebrate and thank those involved in this vital ministry.

Here at the 30k Project, we want to RECOGNISE all the hard work of those serving in CYPF Ministry. There are so many individuals giving tirelessly to nurture the faith of the emerging generations. Through this event, we hope to create a wave of appreciation and echo our heartfelt thanks across the Church.

If you would like to be involved, all you need to do is:

  1. Sign up via this form
  2. Within your normal church service on Sunday 13 July, create a time to ‘recognise’ those involved with CYPF Ministry in your church. If possible, play the short films of ‘thanks’ (to be sent through nearer the time), and provide a cake.
Upon registration, we will allocate a RECOGNISE pack* with additional resources for you, which will be sent in late June 2025. This will include a special cake-topper so you will need to buy or bake a cake!
  3. Post a recording of your ‘thanks’ on social media using the hashtag #RECOGNISE.

*Distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Is this for volunteers too?  RECOGNISE is aimed at anyone who is involved in children's and youth ministry in a church setting. This may be a paid employee or a volunteer; it is important that we recognise both.

What about volunteers who help in other areas?  RECOGNISE is for people involved in children and youth ministry, but for volunteers helping in other areas we would encourage you to celebrate them during National Volunteers' Week. Take a look here for other tips on how to support and thank volunteers.

Do you want to get in touch with the team? We would love to hear from you, email us here

As part of the RECOGNISE week, we would like to create a film of children and young people from across the UK, speaking a blessing over our Children's and Youth Ministers. If you know some children and young people who you think might be interested in taking part, please email us here
