We are proud to share the Church of England's Net Zero Carbon Programme Impact Report 2025.
The report tells the story of a Church responding faithfully to climate change. It points to how caring for God’s creation is rooted in our faith and mission and expressed through practical action in churches, schools, cathedrals and communities across the country.
The Net Zero Carbon Programme is a practical expression of our calling to love God and our neighbour, protect the most vulnerable, and protect creation for generations to come.
The report highlights the progress made during the first triennium of the Net Zero Carbon Programme and, more importantly, highlights the stories behind the stats.
From historic churches installing solar panels and heat pumps, to schools reducing emissions while inspiring the next generation, congregations up and down the country are demonstrating what it means to care for God's creation in practical and hopeful ways.
Released on World Environment Day, this report is both a celebration of what has been achieved and an invitation to continue the journey together. It reminds us that every church, parish and diocese has a part to play, and every step forward matters.
