Indoor heat pumps replace gas boilers in a modern London church

The modern church building of St Laurence's Catford (Diocese of Southwark) faced a cold winter in 2019 when it became apparent that their three gas boilers were all approaching the latter stages of life. Following a successful fundraising campaign, they were able to replace the boilers in situ with twin air source heat pumps (and a back-up boiler for the coldest days). They faced challenges in sourcing indoor-suitable pumps and initially finding the money, but now that the system is up and running, they have reduced their carbon footprint significantly.
