Platinum Jubilee gift book

With 64 pages of photos, it makes an exquisite gift for friends, family-members, neighbours and colleagues, and is a must-have for all royal-watchers.
Hours of documentaries and pages of print are exploring the Queen’s life during this Platinum Jubilee year. They feature everything from the Queen’s hats to horses, but few focus on the source of the Queen’s strength and resilience. As she said at Christmas in 2002: ‘Like others of you who draw inspiration from your own faith, I draw strength from the message of hope in the Christian gospel.’
This unique, new book, published by HOPE Together and Biblica, draws on rarely-seen prayers, which the Queen was given by the Archbishop of Canterbury to help her prepare for the coronation. The devotional prayers and daily Bible readings, from 1 May 1953 to her coronation day, were contained in a small leather-bound volume; fewer than a dozen copies were made. These Devotions highlighted the significance of her anointing, which was considered to be so sacred it was hidden from the cameras recording the Westminster Abbey service. The Devotions explain that God’s anointing makes the difference between an ordinary human life and a life empowered by God’s Holy Spirit.
Seventy years after her coronation, this new gift book, Our Faithful Queen, shows that, through her anointing and in answer to the prayers of her people, God equipped the Queen for her extraordinary role.
