Forthcoming webinars
- What is ‘missionary’ about our ‘discipleship’? - Thursday 30th March, 2:00-3:30pm
This webinar will explore the heart of the Church of England’s new ‘Vision and Strategy’, the invitation to be missionary disciples. Archbishop Stephen Cottrell says, “We are called to gather around Jesus in worship, prayer and fellowship. In the power of the Holy Spirit, we are sent out by Jesus to be his witnesses and ambassadors in the world, drawing explicitly on the five marks of mission as the five marks of Christian discipleship.”
Drawing from wider discipleship work, this webinar will engage, examine, and explore the different dimensions of discipleship, the contextual outworking of our Christian witness in the light of our current social and cultural challenges facing the Church.

- Becoming more diverse: faithful intention or woke aspiration? - Thursday 18th May, 2:00-3:30pm
This webinar will explore that aspect of the Church of England’s new Vision and Strategy concerned with becoming “more diverse”.
What is the diversity that we should be seeking as a Church, and what theological, ecclesiological and missional themes underlie this intention? How is it that Christian communities can be more hospitable to and enable the participation of those who have not been well represented in times past, whether that is in terms of age, race, ethnicity, gender, disability or other criteria?
Drawing from practical examples and reflection on diversity, this webinar will look at these and other questions associated with the desire to become a more diverse Church.
If you are unable to attend the webinars live, please do check back after the event for the recording - we will be keeping these up to date.
