This distressing plea for help, delivered by Archbishop Ezekiel Kondo in Khartoum, Sudan has led the Bishop of Salisbury, the Rt. Revd Nicholas Holtam to launch an Emergency Appeal. The target is to raise £50,000 in 30 days.
The General Synod of The Church of England has approved legislation following the Archbishop’s Commission on the relationship of the Channel Islands to the wider Church of England.
While our churches are now allowed to open their doors for private prayer, for many it has not been possible or practical to do this – yet many such churches are still a sacred space in their community.
