I have forgotten my password

What is my Unique Reference Number and where can I find it?

Your Unique Reference Number, also known as your Unique ID, is a five digit number which is allocated to you when you start on the payroll. It is unique to you and will not change when you move to a new appointment. You can find your Unique Reference Number on your pay statement, two thirds of the way up the page on the right-hand side.

How to enter my Date of Birth

Please enter your Date of Birth as follows: 8 digits, no spaces (e.g. 29071978)

How to enter my National Insurance Number

2 CAPITAL letters, 6 digits, 1 CAPITAL letter (e.g. AB123456C)
This is 9 characters in length with no spaces. Please do not enter the second capital letter as shown on your pay statement as this letter refers to your NI category.

I have not received an e-mail with my temporary password

Please check your spam folder.
You can repeat the log-in steps, double checking that the information you entered was correct and in the correct format.
If you do not receive an e-mail after 10 minutes, then please e-mail myviewenquiries@churchofengland.org for assistance. Please include the data that you entered, in the exact format that you entered it (ie: UniqueID, DOB, NI Number)

My account is locked

We will need to unlock your account, please send an e-mail to myviewenquiries@churchofengland.org
We can then give you a call and talk you through the log on process, this will be the easiest and quickest way to log you on. The whole process should only take around 5 minutes and you will have instant access to your MyView profile.

I get a blank screen when I log on

  • Please try to refresh the page by pressing the refresh button or F5 on your keyboard
  • Shut down your browser and open a new webpage

I'm getting an error message

This happens when the webpage times out.

Is my iPad compatable with MyView?

No, Presently when you log in with a tablet the scroll bars and form do not load properly; this is because the online service isn't compatible yet.

How long should my password be?

Passwords need to be at least 8 characters long and include at least three of the following:
An uppercase character, a lowercase character, a number, a special character.
For example: Ti1gMvP! (do not use this one for real!).

Can I use a password twice?

No, for security reasons you can't use a password that you have previously used for MyView

Will my password expire?

Once set, your MyView password will never expire or change unless you change it yourself using the "forgotten password" procedure.

I need historical documentation that is not displayed on MyView

Can I update personal details on MyView?

If your personal details needs to be updated please contact your diocese.
This function will be available for you to complete yourself in the future.

Is MyView available once I retire?

No. Your pension is paid by a separate payroll which is not linked to MyView.

I use a screen reader or I am visually impaired

If you have difficulty reading the regular MyView screens or you use a screen reader please tick the Enable accessibility enhancements box. This option is there to assist you in viewing the screens.
