Hull St Matthew

The Church of St Matthew is a Grade II listed building, designed by Adams and Kelly of Leeds circa 1870, and constructed of yellow brick with an impressively tall steeple. The building occupies a site approx 40m by 25m on the junction of Anlaby Road and Boulevard and includes some very attractive features including vaulted ceilings and stained glass windows, although does require improvement and structural repair. A substantial building with a Gross Internal Ground Floor Area extending to approx 595 square m (6,407 square ft), it may have the capacity to accommodate installation of additional floors internally. The church occupies a prominent position close to the City centre and provides a unique redevelopment opportunity, subject to obtaining the necessary consents.
