The role of the parish in safeguarding is set out in the safeguarding policy Protecting all God's Children 4th Edition 2010 at page 20.  For ease of access it is set out  here

A model policy statement on safeguarding in the parish, which PCCs can use to adopt a safeguarding approach, can be found in Promoting a safe church 2006 - a policy for safeguarding adults in the Church of England.  A copy of this model statement which has been amended to cover both children and adults can be found here

The Gospel, Sexual Abuse and the Church: A Theological Resource for the Local Churchwas released by Church House Publishing in June 2016. Produced by the Faith and Order Commission in response to a request from the lead bishop for safeguarding, it was approved for publication and commended for study by the House of Bishops.
