Having a mentor

God calls people from all walks of life, and our ministers should reflect the society we are part of.

We recognise that discerning your vocation can be a daunting process, made scarier by a lack of people to talk to who aren’t formally connected to the selection process. Sometimes it’s comforting just to have that solid shoulder to lean on when things get difficult.

We’re building a directory of mentors for BAME Christians to offer support through the discernment process. We anticipate that this will be launched in summer 2018, but you can register your interest now.

To register your interest, either in having a mentor or being one, please get in touch with our Minority Ethnic Vocations Adviser, Rosemarie Davidson-Gotobed.

"All of you who were baptised into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise."

Galatians 3:27-29
