Dan Washbrook

Ordinand, Diocese of Salisbury

My name's Dan Washbrook and I'm currently an Ordinand studying in Bristol and sent by the Diocese of Salisbury. I live with my incredibly patient wife Becky, our two children who are 10 and 9, and Becky’s Mum as well. I recently went through the discernment process while also working full-time and without a university education and so would love to offer support to anyone who is undertaking the vocations journey and is concerned or has questions about similar circumstances.

Discernment is a lifelong undertaking, and the vocations process was one of the tougher things that I've gone through in my life! However, it has taught me so much about God's incredible faithfulness. Gods' calling on our lives takes a lifetime to work through, and I'm inspired to walk with anyone who is taking the big step to face these difficult questions head-on.

As for me - I’m a lifelong fan of Arsenal FC, and in my spare time like to play football (despite having absolutely no discernible talent), play PlayStation, spend time with my kids and family and spend an unhealthy amount of time watching rubbish on YouTube.

I’d be available for meeting as often as monthly formally, and available for communication between times if needed - More than happy to video call etc. so don't worry about having to travel at all!

If you think you might find it helpful for me to travel with you while you’re walking this path, then please do get in touch - I'd love to hear from you.

All God's blessings on your current and future ministries.
