Retired Clergy, Diocese of Ely
image of David Pritchard

I was ordained in the Oxford Diocese after 11 years in music education. Following a curacy in an early ‘pioneer’ post in a large parish and two incumbencies I became Precentor and Vice Dean of Ely Cathedral. Having been a training incumbent I was delighted to be invited to become a vocations adviser in my diocese.

My current work as Diocesan Retired Clergy Officer and Vice Chair of the national Retired Clergy Association enables me to help dioceses ensure that retired clergy are valued and able to support to the local church and its mission. Retirement has not diminished my passion for God, the church, its people and the wellbeing of the Church of England in these challenging times.
