My ministry over the last decade has been focused on reaching those in our communities who would never come to church. I've led a range of fresh expressions including a rural forest church and an online community.
Outside of church I am inspired by art and music; and have a passion for social justice and equality. The rest of my time I'm mum to our teenage daughter and wife to my husband of nearly 20 years.
Since becoming blind and needing to use a wheelchair, I've realised how underrepresented disabled people are in our churches, in leadership positions and in ministry. It is exciting to see the commitment to encouraging disabled people to follow their calling to ordained ministry and I look forward to mentoring anyone who feels I could help them.
My mentoring style would best be described as encouraging and supporting; I want to see mentees flourish and find who God wants them to be in their calling. I am available during school hours at my home or at accessible locations in the Reading area. Outside those hours, or for anyone further afield, I'm happy to mentor on the phone or online in ways that work for us both.
