Hi, I'm Graham. I'm currently a curate in Sunderland and also a Young Vocations Champion for Durham Diocese.

I grew up living all over the world, in places like Bermuda, Nigeria and Ascension Island to name a few. After finishing Uni, my wife and I moved up to the North East of England and we wouldn't swap this vibrant part of the world for nowt! I came to faith as a teenager and although baptised and confirmed in the Church of England, it was at a charismatic free church in Durham that I first had a calling to be a priest. I was ordained Deacon in 2017 and Priest in 2018. My family and I (2 small boys and a dog) have been living on an estate in Sunderland since 2017. I am passionate about ministry in areas that our society has forgotten or ignored. I come from an evangelical charismatic background but now serve in a modern catholic parish. Now I would class myself as a charismatic catholic, but I love all the different types of worship the Church of England offers. My hobbies include playing the saxophone (badly), all things computers and watching atrocious action films.

Among my super powers are dyslexia and anxiety disorder. In terms of mentoring I feel I may be of help to those who are worried about ministry with dyslexia, mental health worries or training with a young family. Having lived as a minority in different countries I have personal experience of racism which may be helpful. Finally I am happy to share what I have learnt about the joy and hardship of ministry in areas of challenge.

If you feel that my experience may be of use, I would be able to offer between 1-2 hours of mentoring a month.
