Hello! I'm Jenni and I'm a final year curate in the Diocese of Manchester. I initially trained as a journalist and worked on the newsdesk, and later as a sub editor in local newspapers for a number of years. I took some time out from journalism (the hours are tough with a young family!) and worked part time as a chaplain to the same community I once covered as a journalist. In all honesty, there's not that much difference between journalism and chaplaincy, the difference lies in what you do with the stories people tell you.

I love communicating with people and helping others communicate, I speak French and Spanish (although the Spanish is much rustier than the French). I am a founder of a community arts festival and organise an annual multi-schools singing festival.

I am happy to mentor anyone who wants to explore vocations in the Church of England, but would love to see the Church ordaining younger women than I am. As a mentor my role would be to let you find your voice, and to be a reliable presence as you discern what God might be asking you.

I have three school-age children, a husband and a dog. I enjoy walking, reading, and sleeping now that my children don't wake me at night!
