Mentor Profile Sasha Reeves

My name is Sasha and I’m a curate serving within the Diocese of Oxford.

I have been fortunate enough to have wonderful mentors who have accompanied me through the discernment process and now as I serve my role as a curate. I have a particular interest in mentoring people who are either disabled, female or under 30. Of course, I am open to mentoring people who find themselves in other circumstances too.   Having been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in my first year of ordination training and being the youngest ordinand there at the time, I come with some empathy for the challenges and joys that might be had in the vocations process.

I believe that I am an open, reflective, empathetic, and inquisitive mentor looking to focus on the areas which you want to explore and to go at a pace that works for you. I would be available to meet in person or via video call at a mutually convenient time.

Before working in ministry, I worked in a range of childcare settings and roles and currently mentor through a disability charity. I have worshipped in a variety of church traditions in the Church of England and find myself enjoying aspects of each of them, but I’m most comfortable in open evangelical settings. Outside of Church, I enjoy discovering and experimenting with new cooking and baking recipes and sharing my creations with friends and family. I enjoy visiting the theatre, reading, and doing crochet projects.

I am excited to discover with you what God might be calling you to and how he is at work within his people.
