Vicar, Diocese of Portsmouth

I was ordained in 2001, and have spent most of the time since then helping people to explore their vocation, because that is what I think being a priest is all about. I've trained several curates and many of my congregation have left to be ordained! I am a bishop's advisor for vocations, and have quite a lot of experience with the vocations process. I enjoy teaching, and teach lay discipleship courses as well as several modules on the Portsmouth diocese ministry training course.

I believe that if you have a pulse, God is calling you to something unique and fulfilling, and I love spending time with people exploring what that call is and how to respond to it, whether it is ordination or something completely different.

I've always served in fairly traditional broad Anglican style parishes, and especially town and village ministry. My current parishes are a market town church right at the centre of a community, and a village church.

I am married and have four children. In my spare time I like to make things, including wood working, candle making, crafting leather goods and most recently making a light sabre.

Whatever your worship style, your background or your situation, if you want to explore the next steps in who God is calling you to be, I'd be glad to explore it with you.
