Are you considering a future working with young people in the church? Do you want to find out more about mission and ministry with children and young people of all ages? Join the Future Youth scheme in the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich for a year's experience of youth ministry.
The scheme is based in the town of Haverhill in Suffolk, on the border of both Cambridgeshire and Essex, at St Mary's Church. Haverhill offers a wide range of opportunities for working with young people, with two secondary schools, seven primary schools, and an active ministry team already working with young people in lots of different ways.
This year there is also a unique opportunity to engage young people in a different way. As part of its national tour, the Knife Angel is coming to Haverhill, encouraging young people to think about issues to do with youth culture and violence. The church is part of this important conversation, with thousands of young people expected to visit the town over the course of the month.
