Ministry Mentor Directory
The Ministry Mentor Directory is an open access resource that creates a neutral space for any Anglican exploring or on the journey toward lay/ordained ministry in the Church of England. The Directory is aimed at those who could be identified as historically under-recognised in the Church of England.
All mentors are trained volunteers who are passionate about supporting people from underrepresented groups on their vocational journey. None of the mentors will be part of your discernment process. They are there to accompany you on your vocational journey.
You can decide to have a mentor at any point of your journey. You choose the time, location and frequency of interaction with your mentor.
Ideally your mentor would work or live nearby so that you can potentially met in person. However, most mentees meet their mentor via Zoom, Microsoft Teams or by phone. How you interact with your mentor is totally up to you.
Use the filters and the search function below to find the mentor who aligns with where you'd like to proceed on your journey and get in touch to start a conversation.
Be courteous
Our mentors graciously offer their time to help their mentees explore lay or ordained ministry. And we appreciate that your circumstances can change and the best laid plans can get derailed. After sending your first email to your potential mentor and throughout the journey of mentorship, as a courtesy, please remember to update them if your situation changes and/or you change your mind.
