Chaplain to Speaker guest of honour at Women of the Year event
The Chaplain to the Speaker of the House of Commons is one of the guests at a lunch celebrating Women of the Year today. Each guest is invited in recognition of their personal contribution to society.
The Rev Rose Hudson-Wilkin took up the role in 2010 which she combines with running a parish in Hackney, London Diocese.
In an interview released today, she calls for MPs to be better understood by the press and recounts a memorable meeting with the American President, Barack Obama.
By her own admission she prefers working in 'gritty' environments and explains where she finds grittiness in parliament....
