The Clergy Retirement Dignity and Fairness Review has released a call for evidence, seeking views from across the Church. Commissioned following a request from the General Synod, the review is examining the requirements for clergy and their dependants to enjoy a dignified, fair and financially secure retirement.
“We are eager to gather a broad range of perspectives through this call for evidence, reaching across every level of the Church,” said Andrew Sentance, Chair of the Clergy Retirement Dignity and Fairness Review group. “Our aim is to hear from both active and retired clergy, as well as the organisations and networks that support them within our parishes and dioceses. This evidence will be vital in shaping our analysis and ensuring our final recommendations are grounded in the lived experience of the clergy.”
The Review Group is seeking data and insight from organisations and individuals with relevant expertise to assess how current arrangements across the Church of England support these aims.
