The Church of England’s Pensions Board has awarded a new national repairs and maintenance contract to OCS, a leading Hard Services and property maintenance solutions provider. Under this contract, OCS will deliver routine and reactive building repairs, maintenance, and statutory property safety checks across the Board’s portfolio of approximately 1,200 homes for retired clergy.
This partnership will enhance residents' service, focusing on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. A key factor in OCS’s selection was its extensive UK-wide network of mobile engineers, which ensures rapid response times and consistent coverage regardless of location.
“OCS impressed us with their strong focus on quality and customer service. Residents can look forward to a range of improvements, including faster appointment scheduling and enhanced tracking of follow-up repairs,” said Tom England, the Pensions Board’s Director of Housing.
“We are incredibly proud to have been chosen by The Church of England’s Pensions Board to maintain their homes. Our nationwide mobile engineering network allows us to deliver a high-quality, reliable repairs and maintenance service that reflects the dedication and service retired clergy have given to the Church," said Nick Maggs, Managing Director, OCS Hard Services UK.
OCS was appointed following a rigorous tender process, which included valuable input from the Pensions Board’s Resident Panel. The company will work closely with the current provider to ensure a smooth transition to the new contract. Residents will be kept informed throughout the process to minimise any disruption.
