Busola is the Founder and CEO of Bearings Point Media and was previously CFO for Global Markets EMEA at State Street. She will replace Jeremy Clack, who has stepped down after completing his term with the Church Commissioners at the end of 2020. Alan was first appointed to the Church Commissioners in 2018 and serves on the Audit and Risk Committees. He is currently Global Head of Risk Strategy and Senior Advisor on Climate and ESG Risk at HSBC. Nigel, who is Humanitarian Director at Oxfam, will replace Lord Richard Best, who has decided to leave the Church Commissioners’ Board in early April at the end of his current term of office.
Busola, Alan and Nigel bring a broad range of professional skills combined with deep commitment to the Church’s mission, as well as diversifying the Commissioners’ make-up and thinking. The Commissioners’ Chief Executive Gareth Mostyn said, “It is humbling that such experienced and inspiring people offer their time, skill and energy to the service of the Church. My colleagues and I are excited by these appointments and look forward to working with Busola, Alan and Nigel in the years ahead. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Jeremy and Richard for their outstanding service to the Church Commissioners and the Church of England over their terms of office – it has been a pleasure to work with them.”
