To celebrate a long-standing relationship with two of our farming tenants, Alan Smith the First Church Estates Commissioner, visited our Navestock Estate in Essex earlier this week to present an English Oak tree to the respective families.

These centenary trees were planted on each of the farms alongside a plaque to commemorate one hundred years of farming.

Alan Smith, First Church Estates Commissioner commented:

“Our Church Commissioners’ multi-generational relationships with our farming family tenants are precious. They are part of our legacy, and our future. It was an honour to celebrate such a significant milestone with each of the families. We treasure our continued relationship with them and all our tenants across the country in stewarding a sustainable future for us all”

These two trees join the many that have been planted as part of the Queen's Green Canopy project to celebrate Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee, with plaques also presented to celebrate this fantastic initiative.
