Church Commissioners announce new Head of Public Equities

The Church Commissioners for England announced today the appointment of Mary-Pat Barron as a Team Head in their Public Equities team.

Mary-Pat, who was previously Director of Investments for Sawdust Investment Management Corporation is taking up her new role from 15th July. She brings substantial experience across public equities, hedge funds, fixed income and private investments. Since relocating from Chicago to London in 2017 she has focused largely on European investments.

Chief Investments Officer for the Church Commissioners for England, Tom Joy commented

“I’m delighted that Mary-Pat is joining the Commissioners. She will be bringing her impressive track record in public equites while working in harmony with our specific values as a faith investor.”

The Church Commissioners for England assets total c.£8 billion with over £3.5 billion in public equities which are managed primarily by external managers. The public equity portfolio invests in long only and long / short strategies in a responsible and ethical way for the Church of England.
