ChurchCare and arts initiative, Art and Christianity Enquiry (ACE), have jointly appointed a curator to organise art exhibitions in church buildings and cathedrals.
Stories worth Sharing went to a day-long ACE event, where clergy, artists and curators discussed their experiences of exhibiting art pieces.
To gain an insight into the long-standing tradition of art displays in church buildings, we spoke to ACE Director, Laura Moffat; the Revd Sophia Ackland of All Hallows by the Tower; Manchester Cathedral’s new artist-in-residence, Stephen Raw, and St James’s Church Piccadilly parishioner and artist, Anna Sikorska.
