Regulations which came into force in March 2017 state that safeguarding risk assessments in respect of members of clergy must be carried out by an independent person with relevant expertise from an approved list. Below is a brief guidance document aimed at Diocesan Safeguarding Advisers (DSAs) to support them in identifying the appropriate independent risk assessor from the Approved List, which can also be found below
