Julian Hubbard will be moving on from his role as Director of the Ministry Division this September.

Over the seven years of his leadership, Julian has championed a renewed culture of vocation throughout the Church, as part of the renewal and reform of the Church of England.

Julian has overseen the introduction of the Common Awards partnership with Durham University for ministerial education, initiated the Future Clergy review of the way we select candidates for ordained ministry, launched a churchwide consultation on growing the status of lay ministries, and steered through the successful implementation of a more flexible and accountable framework for financing training for ordination.

Since Julian became Director of Ministry Division, over four thousand candidates have attended selection panels for ordained ministry. He moves on having laid foundations for a growing Church, and we wish him every success for the future.

Arrangements for recruiting a successor will be announced shortly, so as to ensure a smooth handover and the continuation of Ministry Division's important programme of work.
