These topics are complex and defy simple answers or solutions, but we believe that we can make a helpful contribution to society through our involvement.
Based on core Christian beliefs, we advocate four main principles for all areas of medical ethics and health and social care:
-
Affirming life
-
Caring for the vulnerable
-
Building a caring and cohesive society
-
Respecting Individuals
You can read further details of our approach to medical ethics here.
There are no easy answers, but we believe that these principles help us to promote practices that are safe, that work, that are ethical and that are wise.
