We recognise that discerning your vocation can be a daunting process, made scarier by a lack of people to talk to who aren’t formally connected to the discernment process. Sometimes it’s comforting just to have that solid shoulder to lean on when things get difficult.
We’ve built a directory of mentors for historically under-represented Christians who can offer support through the discernment process.
“Exploring vocation is a journey that we always take with others, because discerning vocation is the task of the church, not just individuals. Coming alongside someone seeking to discern where God is at work in their lives and where God is leading, is a huge privilege. Being a mentor will be a rich experience and a blessing: the blessing of seeing the God of love at work in the life of his people.”
Archbishop Justin Welby
If you are interested in training to be a mentor
Thank you for your interest in joining the Ministries Mentor Directory. Currently, all training has been suspended until further notice. We're celebrating that we have over 100 people who have volunteered to be Ministries Mentors, and we're now focusing on encouraging folk to use this resource, as part of their journey towards whatever ministry they feel called to.
We encourage you to tell others about this directory, get your diocese to have a link to the directory on their website and continue checking in with this page for updates on training.
If you have had our mentor training
Please complete the form below so we can add you to the directory. This form is only for people who have already trained to be mentors with us.
"All of you who were baptised into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise."
Galatians 3:27-29
