Licensed Lay Minister, Diocese of Leicester
image of Pauline Cummins

Although I have a Baptist history, I worship and serve within the Anglican tradition.

I was born in London to Jamaican Parents who settled in the UK during the 1950s. I trained at The Royal London School of Nursing during the 1970s and later became a Diabetic Nurse Specialist working with general practices in Leicester and Loughborough of which I am now retired. I was Licensed as a Reader in 2016 and currently I am part of the Leicester Cathedral Chaplaincy team.

I am married to John and have a Jack Russell dog and 3 chickens. In my spare time I buy and sell collectables and antiques.

I have a passion for social justice and human rights whilst being inspired by those who give inspiration and guidance to others, especially to those within the BAME community. My nursing background enables me to be intentionally supportive and encouraging all who are discerning their vocation and God’s call.

My time is flexible given to serving all people in different contexts, which means that I can see mentees either at home or at accessible areas in Hinckley or Leicester.
