I am a former Police Officer and Police chaplain who studied for ordination on the Northern ordination course before ordination within the then Wakefield Diocese. I completed my curacies in Anglo-Catholic parishes and would consider myself a liberal catholic.

On retirement, I was recruited into the Army and have served in Afghanistan, Cyprus, Mali, Kenya and South Sudan as well as postings throughout the UK. I currently the head of safeguarding and diocesan safeguarding officer at the Diocese of Truro and a reserve army chaplain.

I understand self-supporting and stipendiary ministry well and am used to relating to young people with my congregations usually under 40 years of age.

I am married to Ali, enjoy having a project on the go, a keen motorcyclist, gardener and avid reader and enjoy time at our cottage in France.
