One of the glories of the Church of England is its liturgical worship. Liturgy refers to the patterns, forms, words and actions through which public worship is conducted. Most Anglican worship uses liturgy in one form or another and a list of liturgical resources is included below.

Official liturgical resources
Common Worship: This offers a complete library of services and prayers in diverse styles. Most of the material is in contemporary language.
The Book of Common Prayer: A permanent feature of the Church of England's worship and a key source for its doctrine, the Book of Common Prayer is loved for the beauty of its language and its services are widely used.
Topical liturgies
21st anniversary of the Anglican-Methodist Covenant: On 1 November 2003, The Church of England and The Methodist Church entered An Anglican-Methodist Covenant, signed in the presence of Queen Elizabeth II. November 2024 marks the 21st anniversary of the Covenant. Local Church of England and Methodist churches are invited to share in this celebration using specially commissioned liturgical resources to commemorate the occasion.
A Time for Creation encourages us to praise God for his creation, take responsibility for our actions, repent of our misuse of natural resources and hear the voice of creation itself in our prayer. It offers liturgies for all times and occasions when there is a focus on creation - in daily prayer, services of the word, school assemblies, eucharistic celebrations and seasonal services to mark the agricultural year.
Black History Month: These resources, which are designed for use during Black History Month, include Services of the Word, a Eucharistic service, Prayers of Lament and of Commission, and links to further resources for Bible studies, youth work, Messy Church, and music.
Mental Health and Wellbeing: A collection of prayers and liturgies to help you find the inner freedom to be with God in all the situations of your life, including those times when you might feel cut off from God – or that God seems absent, distant or uncomfortable.
Messy Church: A guide on how to do Messy Church Communion in an Anglican setting. This is a collaboration between Messy Church BRF and the Liturgical Commission of the Church of England, with help from Hymns Ancient and Modern.
Prayers of Love and Faith are offered as resources in praying with and for a same-sex couple who love one another and who wish to give thanks for and mark that love in faith before God.
Praying for the Peace of the World: Many churches have been organising prayer vigils and services following the invasion of Ukraine. For these and on other occasions, all are invited to make use of the following liturgical resources from Common Worship.
Racial Justice Sunday is for all churches to reflect on the importance of racial justice, to give thanks for the gifts and beauty of human diversity, and to commit to end racism and acts of discrimination.
World War I: The Church of England has produced a set of Liturgical Resources for use at services commemorating the anniversary of World War One and can be used by clergy in exercise of their discretion under Canon B 5 of the Canons of the Church of England.
