Jonathan took on the role of National Advisor for Giving and Income Generation in January 2019. He is responsible for leading the giving team in delivering the National Giving Strategy, as well as the strategic lead for Parish Buying and income generation within the Church of England. Previous to this role he was Generous Giving Adviser for the Diocese of Oxford, and holds an MA in Applied Theology and is a full member of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising.

Grace took on the role of Head of Parish Buying in November 2022. Prior to this, she was ACCA’s Procurement Manager for Global Markets. She holds a BSc in Management and Accounting, and Certificates in International Women’s health and Human Rights and Stress Management and Coping skills. She is currently undertaking her MBA in International Oil and Gas Management as well as a Certificate in Understanding Mental Health. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply.

Beth-Joy is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS) and was appointed as National Procurement Officer (Parish Buying) in November 2022. Her main responsibility is supporting the Head of Parish Buying deliver some of the Church’s wider ambitions (e.g., commitment to carbon net zero by 2030). In her spare time, Beth-Joy enjoys travelling throughout Europe.

David is the Net Zero Officer, with a wide range of practical experience and delivery in energy efficiency and carbon reduction projects David is looking at how to make the process of moving towards Net Zero for Parishes easier to understand and make the access to services and supplier needed across a range of measures simpler, taking some of the pain away from Parishes as they make inroads into their Net Zero ambitions.

Mairi took on the role of Church Building Maintenance Partnership Officer (CBMP) in September 2023. She is responsible for facilities management and will focus on the Church Building Maintenance Partnership project to deliver savings and efficiencies in building maintenance for worshipping communities. Prior to this, she was a Facilities and Health, Safety and Compliance Manager for both charity and blue-collar organisations. She holds a NEBOSH General, NEBOSH Fire and NEBOSH Construction (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) which is a globally recognised qualification covering health and safety and risk management. She has also undertaken many facilities management, wellbeing and international relations courses. She is a Technician member (TIFPO) of the Institute of Fire Prevention Officers (IFPO) and holds a Technical Member (TechIOSH) for the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).

Eleanor Stead is the Deputy National Giving Advisor, helping to build the Generous Giving Team and implement the National Giving Strategy. She is Chair of the Giving Advisor Fund Panel and delivers a range of giving support including fundraising, legacy and ChurchLegacy.org

Helen is the National Fundraising Advisor and joined the National Giving Team in 2019. Her role is to support churches and dioceses with fundraising for projects beyond regular giving and with legacies. She leads on the teams work to support churches with fundraising to be net zero carbon by 2030.

Hannah is the Regional Giving Advisor for the midlands and east of the country. Her responsibility is to support dioceses in this area with all aspects of giving and to help deliver the National Giving Strategy.

Jim is the Regional Giving Advisor for the midlands and east of England. His responsibility is to support dioceses in that part of England with all aspects of giving and to help deliver the National Giving Strategy.

This role is currently vacant.

Dave is the Regional Giving Advisor for the North, supporting and encouraging Dioceses and Churches to grow generosity and giving. He is also researching the sustainability of Fresh Expression and Resource Churches, and how giving, commerce, and income generation can help support these churches with long-term growth.

Trevor is the National Giving Ministry Advisor. His responsibilities are to deliver a training strategy for clergy and deliver this training to ordinands and clergy across the dioceses.

Grace joined the National Giving team in October 2020 in a new role dedicated to digital giving. She is responsible for enabling greater access to digital giving for churches, including a three-year rollout of digital giving that will see 2,000 churches across the country receive contactless donation devices. Grace is also working to improve reporting mechanisms for online and contactless giving to give dioceses better insight into digital giving as an income stream for churches.

Megan is the Digital Giving Support Officer and joined the team in August 2022. She helps with the digital giving rollout and supports churches and Giving Advisors in all things digital giving, from online to contactless.

Catia joined the National Giving team in October 2022 as the Giving Administrator. The main part of her role is to support the delivery of the National Giving Strategy, mainly by supporting the digital giving roll out. Catia also provides administrative support to the wider team and the initiatives they are leading on.

Annie’s team brings together resource creation and marketing to ensure high quality support is given to parishes and dioceses.  It does this through three workstreams:

• Parish Resources, which offers high quality learning and resources to enable parishes to focus on their ministry and manage it effectively.
• Cornerstone, which gives church leaders the space and skills to understand how their finances are currently constructed and how they can improve them.
• Building A Generous Church, which delivers a range of activities (including Generosity Week) so that churches can explore together the nature of generosity in their context, and what their response could be. 

The team also ensures robust data underpins decision making so that resources are used wisely.  

Chermonea (otherwise known as Chem) is responsible for all the comms activity for Parish Buying, which includes digital, print and social media. She also overlooks the user experience of Parish Buying members by managing the website, assessing the user journey and determining the needs of the members through market research. 

Marcia is the Data Analyst for the Giving Strategy. She is a trained statistician and has done a number of roles in statistics and data analysis over her career; including time within central and local government. She loves Excel and is always happy to share this knowledge with others.

Lou joined the team as Parish Resources Officer in August 2023. She will be responsible for reviewing and developing the Parish Resources website and its content, to support the day to day running of churches. With a background in parish lay ministry and a former diocesan giving advisor, Lou will be working with focus groups made up of parish and diocesan representatives to ensure Parish Resources meets the needs of its users.
